CODE OF CONDUCT
We ask that all students:
·Demonstrate honesty and integrity
·Respect the differences & rights of others
·Respect studio property and the property of others
·Seek assistance from instructors or the general manager (Juliet) when conflicts must be resolved
·Use appropriate language towards teachers and classmates
·Do not chew gum or eat while in class
·Follow teachers’ instructions to the best of their ability
DRESS CODE
·Hair must be pulled back
·Proper footwear must be worn accordingly; dancers without proper footwear may be asked to sit out for insurance purposes
·Each discipline requires different attire requirements; please ask your instructor for details
·All Ballet dancers are required to wear a black tank leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers with hair pulled back for every class
ABSENTEEISM
·Please notify The Danceroom by phone or email ahead of time if your dancer will be absent
·If a student has missed 5 or more classes, a meeting may be arranged between the parent, dancer and teacher
·Numerous missed classes may result in the inability to participate in the year-end recital
LATE ARRIVALS
·If arriving late, we still encourage dancers to participate in the remainder of the class
·Please call the studio if a student will be arriving late
WAITING ROOM
·Parents of preschool dancers are no longer required to stay on the premises for the duration of their child’s class
·We have a designated waiting room downstairs in the large kitchen if necessary.
·Parents are NOT permitted to view classes as it is distracting to dancers and instructors
SNOW DAYS
·Closures due to inclement weather will be announced on 97.7 The Beach FM & 95.1 The Peak FM
·You are also welcome to call the studio to find out if classes are running
P.A. / P.D. DAYS
·The Danceroom is open for regularly scheduled classes on PA days. Please call if your dancer cannot attend their class on these days.
NEWSLETTERS
·Newsletters are produced throughout the dance season regarding important information and dates
·It is the parents’ responsibility to read each newsletter to keep informed with The Danceroom news
·Information in newsletters may include costumes fees, recital date, dress rehearsal schedules, holidays, etc.
NSF CHEQUES
·A $25.00 charge will be applied to all NSF cheques
REFUNDS
·There are no refunds after January 1st, 2012
