Jennifer Campbell, Director of The Danceroom, has been studying numerous types of dance for fifteen years while maintaining honors status in elementary school and high school. She has been educated at various dance studios in several locations including Michigan, Whitby, Collingwood, and Barrie. Jennifer is also a passionate water-skier and was titled Athlete of the Year in her class of 2004. She currently is majoring in Dance at York University while also obtaining her Bachelor of Education with the goal of  becoming a high school educationalist.  Miss Jennifer has achieved her Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) Intermediate Ballet certification, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.) Advanced Modern Theatre and Grade Six Tap certification, as well as her Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association (C.D.T.A.) Advanced Jazz certification. Jennifer is continuing to direct The Danceroom while attending university, working with a very capable and enthusiastic staff.
Lucien (Lou) Senneville is an Associate member of the Canadian Dance Teacher Association (CDTA) and a Licentiate/Full Member of the International Dance Teacher Association (IDTA). He presently teaches for the City of Barrie Recreational Program, Base Borden, Dance Nation and Huronia Dance Centre. He also organized dances and general practices for his students. His future plan is to open a studio in the Barrie area. His curriculum includes Social and International Styles: Latin dances- Rumba, Cha-Cha, Jive, Samba, and Salsa. Standard dances - Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep and Viennese Waltz. Lou has been teaching Ballroom dancing since 1985. He has trained in Montreal, Germany and Toronto. He is also passionate about choreographing numbers for musicals, shows, and demonstrations.
Sherlyn Dalliday has been involved in dancing since the age of six.  She is a life member of the BATD and has recently been honoured to achieve Life Member status with Scotdance Ontario.  She is a member of the Royal Academy of Ballet and the S.O.B.H.D. Judges Panel.  Sherlyn holds an Honours degree in dance from York University and has been successfully teaching for over 30 years with her studio located in Pickering Ontario.  Her students have received numerous awards, titles and championships including high honours in Canada, the United States, Australia and Scotland.  Sherlyn has also captured many awards and titles including winning British, Canadian and American Championships and the British Overseas Trophy while touring in Scotland with her dance teacher, Evelyn Murray.  She has been a past Ontario executive member on the Scotdance Canada executive and enjoys traveling to different cities to judge and do workshops. 
Meghan Webster is an accomplished Premier level Highland dancer.  Meghan began her Highland dance career in Barrie under the wing of Diane Sanderson.  She also briefly studied with Jennifer Low in Bracebridge and Dr. Kirsty Duncan while attending school in Toronto.  With sixteen years of dance experience under her belt (or kilt!), she is very aware and understanding of a dancer’s needs.  In recent years, Meghan has had the opportunity to teach Highland dance from private, one-on-one lessons to elementary and highschool workshops with twenty to sixty students per class.  Also an English language instructor for the Kumon Learning Centre, Meghan is highly capable of judging a child’s capacity for learning.  Notably, Meghan has been a member of a four-piece dance crew with the York Regional Police Pipes and Drums since 2005 where she has had the opportunity to travel the world and perform at prestigious events such as on palace grounds for Prince Albert at a National Day celebration in Monaco, at a ceremonial lighting of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the L’Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France, and most recently in Vienna, Austria for the 100th anniversary of the Polizeimusik Wien.  Meghan loves nothing more than the exhilarating rush of performing for a joyful, receptive audience whether it be fifteen seniors at a nursing home or fifteen thousand in a city square… with the exception of her jovial red-headed daughter, Cadence.

Jennifer Brinston, Artistic Director. is an Associate Teacher and Choreographer for studios in Alliston, Barrie and Bradford Ontario.  A York University Fine Arts Honours double Major Graduate; Jennifer works and trains as an active member of the Toronto based Hip Hop Company, Nexx Level.  Through Nexx Level she is involved in three to four full length dance productions annually and has performed at sold out shows for Factory Theatre, Toronto Dance Theatre, Leah Posluns Theatre and The Betty Oliphant.  With Choreographer’s Ball and Toronto Bazaar Performances to her credit, Much Music televised appearances (best dance crew week and MMVA’s) and music videos to her name; Jennifer believes that in order to teach an evolving genre of dance such as Hip Hop you must be involved in its development.  Studying Jazz Vocal and Musical Theatre History at her stay at York, Jennifer is excited to bring her love of dance and performance to The Danceroom.

Colleen Brinston is excited to be joining the teaching staff of The Danceroom as a ballet teacher.  Colleen has studied ballet, modern and jazz dance, human anatomy and dance kinesiology at York University. In 2008 Colleen graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours, from York University. Colleen has studied ballet and various forms of dance for over 20 years. The highlight of her dance training was attending the National Ballet of Canada’s adult recreational program from 2006-2008. Currently Colleen is studying Intermediate Ballet in the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and hopes to complete her exams in the near future.

Barbara Lake has been dancing since she was four: dance has been her life’s passion. She started teaching ballet, tap, jazz and musical comedy at the Connelly School of Dancing, Whitby at age 16. Soon afterwards she earned her British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) certification. Barbara went on to do the choreography for several plays and musicals including, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, and Mame. Most recently, she played the lead (Mavis) in the Wasaga Community Theatre’s production of Stepping Out with the stage mirroring life: A tap dance teacher tutors an assortment of adult students in a church basement.
Barbara has been interested in all forms of movement and fitness: aerobics, skiing, cycling, pilates and yoga. This year she earned her Yoga Teacher’s Certification (Yoga Network of Canada/Ontario Yoga Association Registered Program). The 200 hour certification program focused on personal growth, a dedication to finding a balanced lifestyle and sharing the teachings of yoga with other students.
Ingrid Hunt has been a Fitness Instructor for 25 years, and a Personal Trainer for the past two years. She is Can-Fit-Pro and YMCA Certified; Fitness-Ontario-Leadership certified and she is also a Certified Zumba Instructor. Her favorite Fitness classes are "STEP" and Kickboxing, and her MOST favorite is ZUMBA ! Her Zumba classes are very popular and well-attended. She teaches Zumba with great enthusiasm because " Life is supposed to be lived to it's fullest, and along with that comes : Dance until you drop ; feel the rhytm and pulse of feeling alive ! "

Debbie Allan was a successful Jewellery business owner for 23 years, and decided to retire in 2005.  Before retirement she  took  a Certified Reflexology course because Debbie always enjoyed Reflexology treatments herself, due to her stressful business. After retiring , she moved to Wasaga Beach in 2005 with her husband Ted and proceeded to open her new venture, Reflexology for Health. After that she took courses  in  Reiki , Ear candling , and Thai Hot Stem Massage and learned to understand and give treatments with the Ion Detox Foot cleanse. She runs her business and offers all these treatments at her home in Wasaga Beach and Stayner Massage Therapy. Her newest achievement was  studying for 2 years to become a Certified Yoga teacher, which she just completed. She is now teaching Gentle Yoga at the Danceroom. Debbie has always been interested in achieving good health, and  maintaining it. Exercise has been important all her life, and at her age now, Yoga is the practice she has found to balance her mind, body & spirit. Yoga is for every age, it tones, strengthens and relaxes the body to become a more Healthy you. Come to a class and experience the benefits of a Yoga Practice.

 
Arisha has only been dancing a few short years (since September of 2004), but in that time has been lucky enough to learn from many talented dancers. She first started bellydancing with a session offered by Georgian College with Kathy Garcia.  This short introduction was enough to hook her... She then began taking lessons regularly with Cahara of Cahara's Latin and Bellydance Studio...during her learning there she also took lessons with Laina, Sah'rabian, Khismet, Shamar, and Atiabes. She began teaching for Essa Twp in 2007 in order to create a local venue so she could convince her own instructor to teach closer to home.  However, her "home" studio closed shortly after, but she continued her teaching commitment there.  She has since expanded to teach, first at Lisle, then in Stayner. She also continues to attend workshops whenever and wherever she can.

Nicole Campeau, Artistic Director, began her dance career the age of four and has been teaching for several years. Nicole has received advance standing in Jazz, Ballet and  Modern examinations and has continued her dance education at Ryerson University. She recently added to her academic credentials by completing her BA in Sociology. In addition to dance, Nicole has studied singing and acting, and has appeared in several productions, including “The Land of Make Believe” which appeared in the Toronto Fringe Festival in the summer of 2007. Nicole is a part of KMH Dance Productions, and has performed at several different venues. Nicole also had the pleasure of teaching the “Toronto Rock” dance team a routine for their 2007 season. Nicole is currently working towards certifications with Dance Masters of America (D.M.A), and the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (C.D.T.A).
