Meghan Miller is an accomplished Premier level Highland dancer and has obtained her associates Certification. Meghan began her Highland dance career in Barrie under the wing of Diane Sanderson. She also briefly studied with Jennifer Low in Bracebridge and Dr. Kirsty Duncan while attending school in Toronto. With sixteen years of dance experience under her belt (or kilt!), she is very aware and understanding of a dancer’s needs. In recent years, Meghan has had the opportunity to teach Highland dance from private, one-on-one lessons to elementary and highschool workshops with twenty to sixty students per class. Also an English language instructor for the Kumon Learning Centre, Meghan is highly capable of judging a child’s capacity for learning. Notably, Meghan has been a member of a four-piece dance crew with the York Regional Police Pipes and Drums since 2005 where she has had the opportunity to travel the world and perform at prestigious events such as on palace grounds for Prince Albert at a National Day celebration in Monaco, at a ceremonial lighting of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the L’Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France, and most recently in Vienna, Austria for the 100th anniversary of the Polizeimusik Wien. Meghan loves nothing more than the exhilarating rush of performing for a joyful, receptive audience whether it be fifteen seniors at a nursing home or fifteen thousand in a city square… with the exception of her jovial red-headed daughter, Cadence.

Arisha has only been dancing a few short years (since September of 2004), but in that time has been lucky enough to learn from many talented dancers. She first started bellydancing with a session offered by Georgian College with Kathy Garcia. This short introduction was enough to hook her... She then began taking lessons regularly with Cahara of Cahara's Latin and Bellydance Studio...during her learning there she also took lessons with Laina, Sah'rabian, Khismet, Shamar, and Atiabes. She has also attended numerous other workshops. She began teaching for Essa Twp in 2007 in order to create a local venue so she could convince her own instructor to teach closer to home. However, her "home" studio closed shortly after, but she continued her teaching commitment there. She has since expanded to teach, first at Lisle, then in Stayner. She also continues to attend workshops whenever and wherever she can.
