4-Week Programming

4-week classes allow new and returning dancers to try new styles without committing to a long term program. This is a great opportunity for you and your dancer to get to know us, too! Dancers and families will meet our highly qualified staff, familiarize themselves with our facilities, and see the organized and professional fashion in which we operate our studio! This is a wonderful time to register little ones starting school in the fall! Young dancers will learn about independence from mom & dad, communication, cooperation, and more before kindergarten!

Our spring and summer programs keep dancers in shape during the off-season, helping them to maintain and improve flexibility, as well as prevent injuries! We encourage dancers to train throughout the summer to avoid injuries, and to ensure achievements in skills, flexibility, endurance, and strength are not lost. Dancers benefit from one-two weeks of rest, but more can cause a “rewind” in much that has been gained and can reduce stamina, strength and flexibility. After two months of inactivity, it’s possible to lose improvements made in the studio, including turnout, leg and back flexibility, alignment, and more. Dancers put themselves at risk of injury susceptibility due to physiological regressions. If a dancer cannot continue training, activities such as soccer, swimming, and running can help, but do not replace movement patterns practiced in the studio.

If you feel your child has accomplished a lot during the regular dance season, consider keeping him or her dancing in the spring and summer. As a bonus, your child stays busy, active, and social throughout the summer months!

Acro Camp

JULY 29-AUG 2

The camp for bendy bodies! Dancers will focus on flexibility and strength, while learning and improving upon skills like cartwheels, bridges, walkovers, and splits!

Hip Hop Camp

JULY 8 -12

Ideal for active movers who have attitude to spare. Dancers will work on the latest moves while familiarizing themselves with basic hip hop technique.

AUG 19-23

For the triple threat dancer who likes to act and dance. Dancers will work on their acting & performance skills and learn basic tap technique! No tap shoes required!

Perfectly Poised Camp

AUG 11-16

A great opportunity for campers to move with grace and poise! Campers will learn ballet and highland positions, the fundamentals of turn-out, posture, alignment, and more!

The DanceRoom hosts several weeks of sell-out dance camps each year. From 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, dancers create keepsake crafts, participate in indoor and outdoor activities, and of course dance! Campers will have the opportunity to try styles such as hip hop, acrobatics, ballet, musical theatre,  and tap under the direction of professional instructors and guest artists.

At the end of the week, campers showcase their hard work in a miniature production. They have the opportunity to help design the set and determine costuming. A nearby auditorium is rented for our end-of-week performance as dancers usually attract a large audience.
